Creating a global identity

Pipeline Technique is a leading provider of welding, non-destructive examination and field joint coating solutions to the oil and gas industry, with bases in the Aberdeenshire and Houston. The company felt that its current brand had become dated and was no longer reflective of the business (which has grown from a local business to a global service provider). The team appointed thinkCreative to develop a new brand identity, guidelines and website.

A series of focus groups and meetings took place - not only with the team at Pipeline Technique - but also some of its clients and suppliers to find out what their perception of the brand was.

Following this process, thinkCreative created new brand messaging and values for Pipeline, developing a number of design ideas which could be implemented across a suite of marketing materials and importantly, the new website.

Our design and project management teams worked closely with Pipeline Technique’s multi-regional teams on a logo concept, then various colour and style variations to arrive at an agreed version. We then demonstrated how this could be visually applied to marketing collateral as part of the brand guidelines.

Following the development of content and structure, the new brand was then applied to a fresh and functional website which now portrays Pipeline as the global leader it has grown to become.
