ThinkPR Team Accept the Glack Attack Challenge
As part of our 10 years…£10,000 anniversary celebrations, a brave group of five from the ThinkPR team are preparing to complete the 5km obstacle mud run, Glack Attack.
The run, which takes place on the Glack Hill located in Dunecht, Aberdeenshire, on Saturday 23 August, is certainly not for the faint hearted. The challenging course navigates the hill’s natural and manmade obstacles, which include muddy bogs to crawl through, hay bales to climb and steep slopes to conquer.
It’s not just the promise of a Glack Attack memento t-shirt, shiny medal and much-needed chocolate bar at the end of the finish line that has encouraged the ThinkPR girls to don their running shoes and leave their heels at home, it is for a very deserving cause.
The Glack Attack run is just one of the fundraising initiatives that we are carrying out this year to raise £10,000 for the Alfie Milne Foundation.
The foundation was established by the parents of seven-year-old Aberdeenshire boy Alfie Milne who has Lymphangiomatosis, an extremely rare and incurable disease of the Lymphatic system which causes benign tumours to spread throughout the body. Its aim is to promote research that will ultimately identify effective treatments and a cure.
Preparations are well underway for the run with the aim of defeating the 207m high rocky terrain with ease so we can raise as much money for the charity as possible. We hope you will support our Glack Attack challenge and help us reach our fundraising goal.
