InsideGuide to… ADIPEC 2015

This month, Abu Dhabi once again plays host to one of the world’s most important oil and gas exhibitions.

Many of our clients make the trip to the Middle East to attend the event, and the think team works hard to ensure we broadcast their messages to customers and the world’s media alike. With this in mind, we’d like to share some of our top tips for getting the most out of ADIPEC.

This year, the event will showcase a new dedicated Offshore, Marine and Heavy Equipment Zone - the first of its kind in the region. The area will allow companies to showcase offshore products, services, and solutions – from rigs and vessels, to subsea drilling equipment, pipelines, and tools for reservoir production and mapping – in an actual marine environment. Make sure you visit as it’s bound to attract a large number of visitors and could be a valuable networking area for you.

You get out what you put in and, as with any show, it’s all in the planning. There are a number of panel sessions, keynote speeches and technical sessions during this year’s conference, but you may need to pre-register, so plan now by visiting here.

The conference also provides the ideal opportunity for the industry to showcase its latest offerings. With over 110,000sqm of exhibition space we recommend you familiarise yourself with the floorplan of exhibitors as the only way to ensure that you make best use of time.

Work hard, play hard

Abu Dhabi is beginning to rival Dubai for its hotels, shops and interesting things to do. There are brand new, sky-high hotels, the city now has luxury shopping malls and hotels and the restaurants are recruiting celebrity chefs. Between show visits, meetings and interviews, our favourite things to do include: Ferrari World, Yas Mall, dinner at Hakkasan and post-show winding down at Relax@12, at the Aloft Hotel. And of course, no Abu Dhabi visit is complete without a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
