LUX Assure - Global Product Promotion 

Based in Edinburgh, LUX Assure specialises in developing innovative oil and gas corrosion technologies for the global oil and gas industry.

The company researches, develops and markets technologies to solve real life problems in the industry, and currently offer two key products, CoMic™ and OMMICA™. Together these represent a revolution in monitoring and managing difficult-to-detect chemicals in the offshore industry.

think has worked with LUX Assure since 2010 to significantly raise the company’s profile and showcase its technologies globally.  In 2013, LUX Assure launched a base in the Middle East, and think was tasked with raising the company’s profile in the region.

LUX Assure’s technologies are a key priority for the company. Working closely with LUX Assure, think produced a detailed and comprehensive PR plan including exhibitions, award entries and relevant technical features to maximise exposure of its products and services.

In 2013 LUX Assure received an investment of £3.25 million through a number of investors. think co-ordinated a press campaign to highlight the company’s transformation from a research and development focused business, into a service provider to the oil and gas industry. We also maximised this investment as a PR opportunity by entering LUX Assure into the Scottish Business Insider Deals & Dealmakers Awards.

When the company expanded into the Middle East, think targeted key publications in the region and approached a number of media contacts to secure technical features to showcase its technologies.

Following LUX Assure’s £3.25m investment, think secured significant coverage both locally and internationally through strong relationships with the media. The company also won the 2013 Scottish Business Insider Deals & Dealmakers Award for Early Stage/Risk Capital Deal of the Year, an award entry drafted by think.

After LUX opened its base in the Middle East, think secured extensive press coverage in the region, successfully launching the company into the regional media. A number of journalist enquiries came in following the initial press release, leading to further profiling as well as technical features. 

From contract wins to office launches, think continues to support and raise the profile of LUX Assure through securing extensive international media coverage and targeted feature writing.
