The company's customer base includes all blue chip and major operators and contractors in both domestic and international subsea markets.
2010 saw the firm invest millions in a state-of-the-art research, design, engineering and manufacturing facility at Aberdeen Science and Energy Park. Staff numbers have grown by more than 50% since 2010 and further investment in new machinery and equipment followed. This allowed for increased capabilities to fully support the increasing demands from customers in energy, defence and offshore renewables markets.
Global expansion is a key priority for Hydro Group. The group set its sights on further international growth with the opening of its new Singapore office in 2013, with Singapore currently representing Hydro Group’s second largest export market. The Group had representation in Singapore for some time, but with an increasing number of its key clients throughout South East Asia, significant growth in demand for local support from customers and the expansion of exploration activities in the region, it was vital to instil international growth plans and open the firm’s first office in the area.
