Inviting Design for H1

thinkCreative was commissioned to create a high quality invitation for the launch of the newly redeveloped H1 building (previously known as Seafield House) at the Hill of Rubislaw.

Working within existing brand guidelines, thinkCreative was tasked with producing an invitation which conveyed high quality and sleek design, and would attract invitees to come along to the grand re-launch of the building.


Our first port of call was getting to grips with the existing branding. This was a simple yet very striking combination of black, white and gold, strong fonts and clean design.

Identifying the key themes and selling points of the event was also critical and it was important that these were prominent.

Ultimately, the main aim of the invitation was to demonstrate high quality and entice invitees to attend.


Working within H1’s brand guidelines, we investigated using a black paper stock with gold foil printing to highlight key messages. This gave a real ‘wow’ factor when presented to invitees and maintained the high quality feel.

The end result was a simplistic and elegant yet striking design, in-keeping with the style of both the event and the building.
