Cambla – Raising the profile of a fast-growth start-up

Recognising a gap in the market for a visual way of monitoring and presenting subsea schedules, newly established independent project services consultancy, Cambla, developed an innovative tool to improve the accuracy and efficiency of planning subsea and marine operations.

ThinkPR was brought on board in November 2014 to raise the profile of the consultancy and publicise the launch of the new software, S.A.T., at Cambla’s first exhibit at a major industry show.


Working closely with the Cambla team, ThinkPR created a comprehensive PR campaign which included relevant editorial and marketing opportunities. Activity included a planned schedule of news releases and technical features, drafting of award entries for several highly-regarded industry awards, website development, copywriting and design of a company brochure, copywriting for an emailer, social media management, promotion of a product launch and the support of the consultancy’s exhibit at Subsea Expo 2015.


A news release announcing the SME’s highly positive first year financial figures saw ThinkPR secure coverage in a number of key publications including The Press and Journal business pages, The Press and Journal Your Job supplement, Energy Voice, The Times Power of Scotland and Scandinavian Oil and Gas magazine.

To support the launch of S.A.T., ThinkPR managed the development of a new web page to ensure the branding remained consistent, the key messages were conveyed and the page went live on schedule. High quality marketing material was created and editorial coverage was secured in a number of highly regarded publications. ThinkPR also secured and managed a filmed interview with Cambla by the P&J’s Energy Voice.

In acknowledgement of Cambla’s first year success, the consultancy was shortlisted for the New Enterprise Award at the Subsea UK Awards 2015 following the submission of an entry drafted by ThinkPR.
