Bibby Offshore - new HQ launch

ThinkPR has handled Bibby Offshore’s PR since November 2011 and in May 2013, was tasked with securing a high profile individual to highlight the impressive growth of the business at the launch of its new 53,427sqft, multi-million-pound headquarters in Westhill, Aberdeen.


ThinkPR sought to secure a significant figure with strong influence and opinion in the region and oil and gas industry as a whole, who would highlight the ambitious growth plans and people focused culture of the company.

The ThinkPR team liaised with television, radio and print media to achieve substantial coverage surrounding the event.  


ThinkPR coordinated the PR campaign, which saw First Minister of Scotland Alex Salmond officially open Bibby Offshore’s new HQ on the morning of launch day. For the evening part of the celebrations, when the company introduced its ‘Bibby Offshore Schools Ambassadors’ scheme, ThinkPR secured Manchester United and England Football ace Bryan Robson.

Both the morning and evening events generated widespread media coverage and helped position Bibby Offshore as a market leader in the subsea industry, with passion and drive for the sector and a focus on the opportunities it can bring.
