Atlantic Offshore - Event Support for Vessel Launch

In 2015, leading standby vessel operator Atlantic Offshore announced plans to launch its third new vessel  - Ocean Falcon - as part of a £300million fleet modernisation programme.


In addition to think promoting the launch of Ocean Falcon in the press, Atlantic Offshore sought support from thinkCreative to design invitations and printed materials for the vessel’s christening ceremony at Aberdeen Harbour, followed by an evening dinner.

The design team met with Atlantic Offshore to discuss requirements and it was agreed that a fresh, modern look was required to match that of the new vessel, and to highlight Atlantic Offshore’s commitment to fleet modernisation.

Whilst the designs were in progress, think’s PR team drafted a news release about the vessel, ensuring all key company messages were conveyed. think secured the Press and Journal photo diary, and a photographer booked to capture shots for the christening and dinner - both of which think attended to manage the process.


The exclusive features, capabilities and investment int he vessel were portrayed throughout all PR activity. The coverage secured further positioned Atlantic Offshore as a market leader in multi-role rescue and recovery emergency support vessels in the North Sea, with a view to growing its profile in general, and attracting potential clients.

Coverage of the event was secured in the Press and Journal - the business pages, online and the photo diary - The Scotsman, Energy Voice and business and trade press including Scandinavian Oil and Gas, World Oil and Sea Technology.

The design work aligned with all key PR messages to be sleek, modern and eye-catching.
